National EMS Memorial

Purpose of the National EMS Memorial Service
The National EMS Memorial Service is dedicated to remembering and honoring emergency medical services personnel who have died in the line of duty. Its mission is to recognize the ultimate sacrifice each individual made for their fellow man.

History of the National EMS Memorial Service
The first Memorial Service was hosted in Colorado Springs. Over time, the National EMS Memorial Service was moved to Arlington, Virginia, where it remains in the greater Washington, D.C. area. This location was selected to strengthen the efforts of the National EMS Memorial Foundation in establishing a permanent National EMS
Memorial.
The National EMS Memorial Service, National EMS Memorial Foundation, and the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride have collaborated on a shared vision and strategic plan to honor EMS heroes who have died in the line of duty. This collaboration ensures that their memories are honored on a national stage in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
