Position Description: Full-Time Paramedic

Job Summary

The Full-Time Paramedic is responsible for providing advanced emergency medical care to patients in various situations, including pre-hospital environments. The Paramedic will assess patients, provide critical treatment, and transport individuals to medical facilities as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced life support procedures and techniques in emergency situations.

  • Assess patients’ conditions and determine necessary medical interventions.

  • Administer medications and perform advanced medical procedures as required.

  • Stabilize patients and prepare them for transport to medical facilities.

  • Communicate effectively with medical personnel, patients, and their families.

  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records of treatments provided.

  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain certifications.

  • Ensure the ambulance and medical equipment are fully stocked and maintained.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during emergency response.

  • Work collaboratively with other emergency services and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Current state Paramedic certification and CPR certification.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medical services preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and patients.

  • Stamina to work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

Work Environment

The Full-Time Paramedic will work in a variety of environments, including ambulances, hospitals, and outdoor settings. The role requires responding to emergency calls and working in potentially hazardous situations.
