Position Description: Full-Time Paramedic
Job Summary
The Full-Time Paramedic is responsible for providing advanced emergency medical care to patients in various situations, including pre-hospital environments. The Paramedic will assess patients, provide critical treatment, and transport individuals to medical facilities as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced life support procedures and techniques in emergency situations.
Assess patients’ conditions and determine necessary medical interventions.
Administer medications and perform advanced medical procedures as required.
Stabilize patients and prepare them for transport to medical facilities.
Communicate effectively with medical personnel, patients, and their families.
Document patient care and maintain accurate records of treatments provided.
Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain certifications.
Ensure the ambulance and medical equipment are fully stocked and maintained.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during emergency response.
Work collaboratively with other emergency services and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Current state Paramedic certification and CPR certification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medical services preferred.
Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and patients.
Stamina to work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
Work Environment
The Full-Time Paramedic will work in a variety of environments, including ambulances, hospitals, and outdoor settings. The role requires responding to emergency calls and working in potentially hazardous situations.
